How to make an AI chatbot answer from your own website content

To make an AI chatbot answer from your own website, you give it your pages to read, test it with the questions your customers ask and fill in what it could not answer. No AI model is trained on your site: each time a visitor asks something, the chatbot searches your content and writes the reply from what it finds. With Sincra, the first test needs your website address and no code.

Does the chatbot need to be trained on my website?

No. Many products say "trained on your data", but nothing is trained. The chatbot keeps a searchable copy of your content. When a visitor asks a question, it finds the passages that match and answers from them. Two things follow: an answer can only be as good as what your content says, and when your content changes, the chatbot needs to read it again.

What content can I give it?

In Sincra you can add:

  • Your website address. Sincra reads its public pages.
  • PDFs and text files.
  • Questions and answers that you write yourself, for what your website doesn't say.

How do I test it before it goes on my site?

  1. Create an account and enter your website address.
  2. Sincra reads your pages and opens the Simulator, with a first question taken from your own content already asked.
  3. Ask what your customers ask you by email or phone, and read the answers.

The Simulator is inside your dashboard and uses your own content. You use it before you choose a plan, and its tests don't use your plan's responses.

How do I find out what it can't answer?

The Website check, in the Knowledge page of the dashboard, takes a set of basic questions about a business and tells you which ones your content answers. For each one it shows either the sentence from your content that answers it, or "Not found in what your assistant has read".

"Not found" is about what the assistant has read, not about your whole website. If the answer is on a page it has not read, add that page. If it is nowhere, add it as a question and answer in one click. The check runs again on its own when your content changes.

What does the visitor see?

The visitor gets the answer in the chat, with links to the public web pages it came from. The names of the files you uploaded are not shown to visitors.

What makes the answers better?

  • Put the facts in text. A price or an opening time that only appears inside an image may not be read.
  • Keep one answer per question. If two pages give different prices, remove the old one.
  • When a page changes, remove it from Knowledge and add it again. Sincra does not re-read a page on its own.
  • Write a question and answer for anything customers ask that is nowhere on your site.

What does it cost to try?

Reading your website, the Simulator and the Website check come with every account, before you choose a plan. That is not a trial of the chat on your website: the assistant goes live on your site once you choose a plan, from $29 a month for 500 responses.
